CHM - Coalition for Hispanic Ministries

Tom HokeMy name is Tom Hoke, chairman of Coalition for Hispanic Ministries.
The Lord has laid on my heart something I wish to share with you. God is waiting to bless you.

David Byrne has such a gentle spirit that he has not wanted to burden you with details about the financial difficulties that currently face our ministry. We are living in hard times. We know that the unknown in the world can be a little scary. I believe with all my heart that God is in control of all things. He doesn’t want us to be afraid of what is taking place around us. Our hope and faith should be in the Lord, our God. We believe God expects even more from His children in times like these.

CHM is going through a difficult time financially, as are many meetings and nonprofit organizations. People need Jesus more than ever. Malachi 3:10 tells us to “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse.” That storehouse is the meeting place or ministry God has called you into His service. The Lord Almighty says to test Him in your giving and He will throw open the floodgates of Heaven and pour out so many blessings that you will not have room for it all. This is His promise. Giving comes before the blessing and God is waiting to bless you.  2 Corinthians 8 teaches that we are to give above and beyond our own abilities. Verse 7 states, “but just as you excel in everything, in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us; see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” Verse 12 says, “For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.” God is waiting to bless you.  2 Corinthians 9:6-8, “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” God is waiting to bless you.

God’s word is more powerful than any words I could write or say. Please pray and ask what the Lord would have you give and by faith act on it. Above all, we covet your prayers for CHM, David and Joyce Byrne, and the board members. As CHM moves forward, we want to be faithful to God’s leading.

Thank you from CHM, the board members and myself. May God bless you and keep you.

                            In His service,
                           Tom Hoke
